UP govt sanctions 68 flood control proposals worth Rs 432 Cr

The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned 68 flood control proposals worth Rs 432.52 in the State.

During a meeting of the UP Flood Control chaired by Irrigation Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui held yesterday 68 proposals worth Rs 432.52 for various projects were approved, an official spokesman said here today.

Flood control rooms will be set up and required staff will also be deployed, besides meetings of steering committees set up at district level, the minister said.

Mr. Siddiqui said that sensitive and super-sensitive places related to floods be identified and material required for flood safety be procured at the earliest.
