The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday said it would provide pension to all employees who joined services in the State post April 1, 2005 after serving in Central or other State governments.
A decision in this regard was taken at a Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mayawati, in Lucknow.
“The employees, who were part of pension schemes of Central government or states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Paschim Banga, Kerala and Gujarat before joining state services after April 1, 2005 will be given pension,” an official release said.
The Cabinet also decided to change the Nazul policy for management and disposal of Nazul land.
Up to 300 square metre of Nazul land would now be regularised in favour of illegal occupants before Dec 1, 1998 at the payment of 100 per cent of the present circle rate.
The land above 300 sq metre would be disposed through auction or tender, the release said.
