Maoists allegedly abducted and killed two Trinamool Congress workers after they refused to join a rally in troubled West Midnapore district, police said.

Mintu Ali alias Sekh Manjur Ali and Nirmal Bhakta were abducted on Thursday night from their houses at Akhrasol village under Jhargram police station after the duo refused to join the rally by Police Committee Against Police Atrocities.

The bodies of the two were later found.

Posters found near the bodies claimed both were police informers.
