Two tourists from T.N. drown in Goa

Two tourists from Tamil Nadu drowned at Baga and Sinquerim in North coastal Goa, on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Dinesh Kumar Ranganathan (28) drowned at the Arpora beach on Saturday evening and his body was found at Baga on Sunday.

Sasikumar Vasan (33) drowned and his body was found at Calangute on Sunday evening, police said.

The police said bodies were sent to State-owned Goa Medical college hospital near here for postmortem.

The Goa Tourism has issued a detailed advisory for tourists as well as people at large not to venture into water in the beaches during the monsoons, even when it is not raining.

This is the fifth such case reported from Goa in the span of last 72 hours.
