Two sentenced to10-year RI for rape

Two persons were sentenced on Friday to 10-year rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl at Padma village of Hazaribagh district in April 2010.

District and Sessions Judge Rama Shankar Shukla sentenced Sagar Khalko and Chotu Lakra, daily wage workers, to the prison term and slapped a fine of Rs. 2,000 each.

According to the FIR, the girl, who was 10 years then, was returning home with her relatives after attending a wedding in the locality at night when the two forcibly took her away and raped her.
