Two militants of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), belonging to the Ranjan Daimary-led anti-talks faction and suspected to be involved in two bomb blasts on rail tracks last week, surrendered to the police here in Sonitpur district on Wednesday.
Birman Basumatari and Gagan Basumatari were allegedly involved in the blasts on the tracks near Batasipur in Sonitpur district and Mazbat in Udalguri district. The militants, who surrendered at the Missamari station, deposited two 9 mm pistols, three rounds of ammunition and a hand-grenade.
