Two hardcore Maoists arrested in Orissa

Two Maoists have been arrested during a combing operation in Orissa’s Malkangiri district, police said on Saturday.

The ultras were arrested during the combing operation at Sudhakunda forest, about 100 km from here, on Friday evening.

They were identified as Bhima Padiani alias Nanda (28) of Turkumela and Deba Madhi (25) of Kanhaguda.

Deba was involved in the killing of an ex-Zilla Parishad president, they said.

Both the Maoists were involved in landmine blasts and mobile tower explosion at several places.
