Two former students shot at in AMU campus

Two former students of Aligarh Muslim University were shot at and injured by motorcycle-borne assailants at University campus.

The incident occurred last evening after which the attackers sped away without any resistance from security personnel posted at the university gates, police said on Thursday.

The injured, identified as Qamrul Hasan and Talha, are undergoing treatment for bullet injuries. They are reportedly in serious condition.

The two former students are members of the University Drama Club and had gone to the campus for a rehearsal when the incident took place.

An FIR in this regard has been registered against two persons identified as Fahad and Yasir.
