Two elephants electrocuted in Keonjhar district

Two elephants died in tragic circumstances in Keonjhar district of Orissa on Wednesday, police sources said.

The elephants were passing through Budhamba village, under the Telkoi range of the Keonjhar Forest Division, when a high-tension wire reportedly fell on them.

Both victims were female and about 25 years old, a forest official said.

Three incidents earlier

Three similar incidents in the Telkoi range were reported in July last year, forest officials said.
