Two blasts rock Assam, Manipur

One person was killed and at least nine others wounded in two separate bomb blasts at Udalgiri in Assam and Churachandpur in Manipur on Sunday. Some of the injured persons are in serious condition. Sources said that the first blast took place on Sunday at Udalgiri killing Ram Chandra Barman, a scrap dealer on the spot and injuring five others seriously.

In the second blast at Churachandpur in Manipur four persons including one woman were injured. One elderly person was seen standing near the sentry post of the BSF camp near a cinema hall at 8 am on Sunday. The blast took plae shortly after his departure. There was no injury among the BSF personnel.

There has been no claim for the blasts from any insurgent groups.
