The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) has intensified its efforts for constructing a Lord Venkateswara temple at Kurukshetra in Haryana. TTD Executive officer I.Y.R. Krishna Rao held a series of meetings with senior Haryana government officials on Monday.

Haryana is learnt to have expressed its willingness to part with five acres free of cost for the temple construction. It, however, favoured spending the temple's income in Kurukshetra. The TTD on its part is learnt to have expressed its displeasure over this “condition.”

However, the management is optimistic of hammering out an amicable solution during the Chief Minister K. Rosaiah's proposed meeting with his Haryana counterpart Bhupinder Singh Hooda in New Delhi.
