The Trinamool Congress will form government in Tripura in the future, the party’s all-India general secretary Mukul Roy said.
Addressing a press meet here on Sunday, he said that a temporary restructuring of the party set-up had been done and an elaborate revamp was being planned.
Welcoming a few supporters of other parties who switched their loyalties in favour of the TMC, Mr. Roy claimed that they were political leaders who had united to oppose the Left rule in that State.
He indicated that TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee would visit the north-eastern State very shortly and a State convention would be organised after which the party revamp would be implemented. The aim was to put in place a strong organisation structure, he said.
