Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh facing repeated police grilling on his links with the Saradha Group, questioned here on Saturday the police investigations being confined to media group of the scam-tainted group.

“The Saradha issue is a larger issue and not confined only to the media unit. There are many other larger dimensions to the whole scandal, then why is it being confined only to the media unit?” Mr. Ghosh quizzed journalists after emerging from the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, which is probing the scandal.

This is the eighth time that the police has questioned the Rajya Sabha MP.

Asked why he was being grilled repeatedly, he said, “I think according to them [police] I am the only person in the world who knows about Sudipta Sen [chairman and managing director of the Saradha Group].” Mr. Ghosh was earlier headed Saradha’s media arm.
