Train services on Konkan route resume

Train services on Konkan Railway route have resumed after it had been disrupted following derailment of a train near Balli in Goa on Sunday.

After the Track Fit Certificate was given at 2.05 a.m. on Monday, a light-engine successfully passed at the site at 4.10 a.m. on Monday. Thereafter, the first passenger train no. 12618 Mangala Express crossed the route. It was followed by train no. 12620 Matsyangandha Express, a Konkan railway release said.

Train no. 70103/70104 Madgaon-Karwar-Madgaon DMU train and train no. 56641 Madgaon-Mangalore passenger were cancelled on Monday.
