Tension in Assam town following recovery of activist's skeletal remains

Tension gripped the Kukurmara area of lower Assam's Kamrup district on Tuesday after the recovery of the skeletal remains of Arup Kalita, an activist of Sadou Asom Ajanajati Chatra, who was missing for nearly one year.

Police fired in the air and lobbed teargas shells to disperse a crowd that attacked the local forest office.
