Border Security Force jawans have arrested ten Naxalites from Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district on Friday.

According to the Kanker police, the arrested Naxals may have been behind the August 27 attack in Durgkondal police area in which five security men were killed.

Acting on a tip off that the Naxalites were meeting at forests in Durgkondal police area, BSF jawans raided the area and arrested the Naxalites when they were fleeing the spot.

Weapons and Naxal literature have also been seized from the spot.

Two days backs, BSF jawans had arrested seven Naxalites from Pakhanjur and Alor forests. Six of the seven arrested were women.
