We have eight deaths due to swine flu in the state since January this year,” Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Moloy Dey told PTI .

Three new patients from the city tested positive for swine flu and were admitted to a government hospital, he said, adding that the total number of people infected has reached 115.

Meanwhile, nine patients were released from different hospitals in the state after they completely recovered from the disease, Mr. Dey said.

Earlier, 55 patients were released after their recovery.
