Suspecting cow slaughter, BJP workers beat up youths in Pilibhit

BJP workers on Thursday allegedly beat up two youths and set afire their motorcycle suspecting their involvement in cow slaughter at Chhatri crossing in Gajraula area here, police said.

The incident took place when BJP workers gathered at the spot after getting information that a truck was carrying cows to a slaughter house.

The BJP workers then beat up two youths who were standing nearby and set their motorcycle on fire suspecting their involvement in the slaughtering.

Senior police and administration officials rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. They also detained four BJP workers.
