Student who hacked Lalu’s FB account expelled

An engineering student, Divyanshu Kumar, who was arrested on Tuesday for hacking into and posting objectionable content on Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad’s Facebook page, was expelled from college on Thursday. Kumar is a third year student at a local engineering college in Vaishali in north Bihar.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the cyber cell arrested Kumar alias Golu, 20, from his residence in Mehmadabad-Alawarpur village under Saraiya police station of Vaishali district.

Two Samsung mobile phones and a SIM card which he allegedly used were seized.

The mobile phone was issued in the name of Vijay Kumar, Kumar’s father, who works in Saudi Arabia.

Kumar had hacked Mr. Prasad’s Facebook account on March 8 and on March 11.

He also had allegedly posted some objectionable material on the account.
