With stress-related disorders on rise in Kashmir Valley, a helpline was today launched by police to provide counselling to patients to overcome their problems.
The ‘Stress Management Helpline’ was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Minister of State for Home Nasir Aslam Wani at the Police Control Room here.
Wani said similar helplines would be established at other district centres in the Valley.
“Stress levels have increased across the world.There is a stress among people due to unemployment and human relationships,” Wani told reporters after inaugurating the Helpline.
He said there has been an increase in the suicide rate in the state.
The Minister was accompanied by state’s Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda and other senior police officers.
