Stone crusher unit arson: mastermind arrested in Orissa

A man who allegedly masterminded an arson at a stone crusher unit in Badagada village here, in which eight persons were burnt alive, was arrested today, police said.

“Subash Sahu, absconding after the incident, was arrested from a place near Aska,” said DIG (southern range) R K Sharma.

With the arrest of Sahu, a former member of the panchayat samiti in Sheragada block, the number of arrested persons in connection with the gruesome incident reached 84.

On April 29, a mob of about 200 people burnt to death eight persons, including a woman, in the premises of a stone crusher unit in Ganjam district.
