Sri Ram sene will not be allowed: Parrikar

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday emphatically stated that the government will not allow Sri Ram sene, rightwing Hindu outfit to carry out its activities in Goa and threatened that its chief Pramod Muthalik will be banned if tries to foment trouble in Goa.

Replying to a calling attention motion in the State Legislative Assembly over the threat to a Konkani tiatr (musical theatre) director over his controversial tiatr, Mr. Parrikar alleged that some people were perennially trying to keep unnecessary controversies alive with the help of media.

Chief Minister advised the Konkani tiatr director presently getting threatening calls over his tiatr to change his sim card.

Replying to a calling attention motion tabled by Independent MLA Vijay Sardesai over the threat calls being received by director of tiatr "Atankwadi goent Naka"(Goa does not need terrorists) by south Goa based tiatr producer and director Tousif De Navelim, Mr. Parrikar said," Tell that Tousif to replace his cell SIM card, and the issue will be over."

He said that unwarrented controversies are being constantly stirred over Ram Sene and Pramod Muthalik by some people.

He said that as Mr. Muthalik stays in Hubli. He advised the Congress MLAs to take action against Mr. Muthalik in Karnataka by approaching Karnataka Congress government.
