SP announces candidates for 2014 elections

Samajwadi Party on Thursday announced candidates for four seats and changed names in three places for the Lok Sabha elections slated in 2014.

A statement issued by SP national general secretary and spokesman Ram Gopal Yadav said the party has named Ayesha Islam as the candidate from Bareilly seat and Sachin Singh Yadav from Farukkhabad.

Heera Lal Yadav and Abdul Kalam have been named as candidates from Ambedkar Nagar and Sant Kabir Nagar respectively.

The party has replaced Vijay Kumar with Sompal Shastri for Bagpath seat, while Daroga Prasad Saroja replaces Doodhnath Saroj for Lalganj (reserved) seat, and Sarika Baghel has been named candidate in place of Maharaj Singh Dhangarh for Agra (reserved) seat.
