The Mumbai Police have filed a charge sheet against actor Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj, for abetting the suicide of his girlfriend and actor Jiah Khan.
However, the late actor’s mother Rabiya Khan has expressed shock over the police action and has criticised the authorities for ignoring the evidence provided by her, which “indicate that Jiah was murdered.”
At a press conference on Wednesday, Ms. Khan said: “The police have made up the story of suicide and do not want the truth to come out.”
Ms. Khan has approached the American consulate in Mumbai seeking its intervention as Jiah was a U.S. national.
The actor was found dead at her Juhu residence on June 3.
