Sohrabuddin case witness shot at, injured

Mohammad Azam Khan, an accomplice of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati and the Central Bureau of Investigation's prime witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh–Kausar Bi murder case, was shot at and injured by unidentified assailants in Udaipur in Rajasthan on Tuesday evening. Mr. Khan has testified in the Supreme Court on behalf of the CBI.

According to reports received here, Mr. Khan had stepped out of the car he was travelling in with a friend when he was fired upon.

He told the police that the assailants, wearing masks, came from behind on a motorcycle and fired two shots. He was admitted to hospital with a shoulder injury.
