Uninterrupted power supply, snacks and drinking water for students have been made mandatory in Rajasthan for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address on Teachers Day. All government schools with more than 50 students will either telecast the address or interact live for which schools have been asked to either hire big screens or buy 20 inch television sets. For those with less than 50 students, students will have to do with radio sets with speakers.
These were the instructions issued by the District Collector of Jaipur Krishna Kunal during a meeting with the District Education Officers and Block Education Officers. All schools will take a roll call of students at 2.30 p.m. which would be sent to the Collector by 3.15 p.m. much before the address which starts at 3.45 p.m.
While authorities have been asked to provide uninterrupted power supply during the PM’s speech, schools have also been asked to keep generator sets as a back-up. Schools will also provide drinking water, biscuits and fruits to the students. Asking teachers and nodal officers to ensure there are no lapses in the arrangements, the Collectors will hold a review meeting on September 4, an official statement said on Tuesday.
