Six tourists from Vijayawada injured in Jharkhand accident

Six tourists from Andhra Pradesh were injured when a truck collided with a tourist bus near Darlong in Saraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand late Thursday, police said.

The tourists from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh were returning home from Haridwar when the truck collided with the bus on National Highway 33, the police said.

The officer-in-charge of Chowka police station, Ramawadh Singh, who rushed to the spot, said the injured, were shifted to MGM hospital in Jamshedpur, from where five seriously injured tourists were shifted to Tata Main Hospital.

One of the injured was discharged after first aid.
