Seven members of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) surrendered before the 65th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Raipur on Wednesday, a press release from the CRPF said.
“Due to intense pressure of security forces and hard reality of forest life, two Maoists from Gariaband district and five from Kondagoan district of Chhattisgarh surrendered before the CRPF at its 65th Battalion’s headquarters based in Raipur in presence of Commandant Satendra Kumar Singh,” the release said.
