The Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) Anti Corruption branch has started investigations into the alleged involvement of senior officers related to the army recruitment into the leak of army recruitment exam paper.
A team of the CBI had raided the Institute of Science College in Nagpur where the army recruitment exam was being conducted on Sunday and found that some of the candidates were carrying answer sheets of the exam in their mobile phones.
“Six candidates had answer sheets which were sent to them through SMS. A Competitive Exam Coaching Center Tango Charlie in Katol town had accessed these answer sheets and sold it to some of the candidates” Inspector Pradeep Lande of the CBI told The Hindu.
The head of Tango Charlie institute Mr. Jaikumar Belkhode has been detained for questioning and many senior officers related to the exam process could well be questioned, informed the CBI official.
Major General Bedi of the army recruitment department arrived in Nagpur on Monday morning and will look into the irregularities reported by the CBI.
