Sena woman is new Mumbai mayor

Shiv Sena candidate Shraddha Jadhav was elected as the new Mumbai mayor on Tuesday.

She defeated Congress rival P Kadam by 19 votes, helping Sena retain the mayor’s post.

Corporators of the MNS led by Raj Thackeray and Samajwadi Party abstained from voting, dashing Congress’ hopes of a victory.
