Shiv Sena president Udhhav Thackeray said here on Friday that it would build a national memorial to V.D. Savarkar, the revolutionary-politician and Hindutva ideologue in Nashik, if his party came to power in Maharashtra.
He was speaking after inaugurating three-day literary meet dedicated to Savarkar, who was born in Nashik, and was a prolific writer himself.
Mr. Thackeray said his late father, Bal Thackeray, took forward Savarkar’s staunch Hindutva.
