Journalist Jigna Vora, accused in the J. Dey murder case, was remanded in further judicial custody on Monday till January 30, along with the other accused.
Ms. Vora was produced before the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court, which is hearing the case.
The prosecution sought further custody on the ground that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report of Ms. Vora's mobile phones and laptop was still awaited.
The court granted Ms. Vora's request to speak to her grandmother over the phone.
It also allowed Ms. Vora to keep a Thermos flask in her cell. Her lawyer Jayesh Vithlani pleaded that Ms. Vora was suffering from asthma and was required to drink hot water.
Hearing on the bail applications of the other accused Deepak Sisodia and Anil Bhanudas Waghmode was also adjourned till January 30.
