A delegation of Scotland Yard police from UK arrived here to strengthen ties between the police forces of the two countries, today made a courtesy visit to the Additional Chief Secretary at Mantralaya.

The delegation of the foreign police, comprising manager Ramesh Kumar (overseas projects), chief superintendent Mick Gillick, legal advisor Vishesh Agarwal, Inspector K Paul and constable H Singh, landed in Mumbai this morning and met Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Umesh Sarangi in the afternoon.

The delegation discussed various issues to strengthen the relations for at least 30 minutes, Agarwal said.

The Scotland Yard team is also scheduled to meet Director General of Police Ajit Parasnis and Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik later today.

The delegation will proceed to Delhi tomorrow, where they are expected to meet Union Home Ministry officials.
