Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav wrote an open letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday, requesting him to “save Bihar from the communal agenda of the BJP”.

“The whole country knows that you can go to any extent and do anything for power, but I request you with folded hands to rise above politics in the interest of the people of the State and save Bihar from BJP’s communal agenda,” he wrote in the letter.

Meanwhile, State RJD leaders continued to demand action against Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Ashwani Choubey for “fomenting communal strife” in Bihar. “We demand that the Nitish government should not allow these two leaders to enter Bihar,” said party leader Bhai Birendra.

“Giriraj Singh has not challenged us, but Nitish Kumar should take action against them,” said RJD vice-president Rabri Devi.
