RPF revives ‘leave Manipur' demand

The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has once again said those who came and settled in Manipur should leave by May 31.

It, however, said in a statement that those who came before October 15, 1949 were Manipuris and their children and grandchildren can stay .

Four trucks torched

Some tribal youths torched four goods-laden trucks near Khuzuma in Nagaland bordering Manipur on Monday night.

Memorandum to Manmohan

The Naga Hoho, apex body of all civil Naga organisations in Nagaland and some others organisations have sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday protesting against the second communication from the Union Home Ministry asking Thuingaleng Muivah, general secretary of the NSCN(I-M) not to visit Manipur.

The NSCN(I-M) has been holding peace talks with the Centre for the last 12 years.
