Meerut is tense after the Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV), the organisation founded by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, allegedly put up controversial posters and hoardings across the city.
The hoardings, which have pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the U.P. CM, declared that people must chant “Yogi, Yogi” if they wish to live in U.P. They also feature Meerut district president of HYV, Neeraj Sharma Panchali. Senior Superintendent of Police-Meerut J. Ravinder has ordered a probe into the hoardings, which are being removed by the administration.
