May 03, 2015 06:30 pm | Updated 06:30 pm IST - MANGALURU

While Konkan Railway Corporation has made alternative travel arrangements for the derailed LTT-Ernakulam Junction Duranto Express, it has arranged full refund of fare to passengers of Train No. 12133 CSTM-Mangaluru Junction Express, which was partially cancelled between Madgaon and Mangaluru.

KRCL in a release said that instead of refunding the amount equivalent to untraveled portion of the journey as per the rules, it has decided to refund the full amount as a special gesture.

Meanwhile, passengers of the Duranto Express are being taken to their destination by a special train which left Karwar Station to Ernakulam. Special catering arrangements for snacks and meals have been made in the train, KRCL said.

Restoration in progress

Four coaches out of 10 derailed coaches have been re-railed and the restoration work is going on in full swing. All out efforts are being made to restore the section at the earliest possible, the release said.

Passengers may contact 022-27587939 for train inquiry and may visit www.konkanrailway.com for train position.
