Repolling peaceful in Manipur

The repolls in six polling stations in Manipur on Saturday were peaceful and incident free, according to officials. The polling stations are located in Chandel, Senapati and Ukhrul districts.

The chief electoral officer O. Nabakishore said that the average polling in the six polling stations was 82 per cent.

The ballot boxes are being brought to the district headquarters in Thoubal.

The repolling was necessiated folloiwng charges of impersonations, smashing of EVMs and other activities which hampered the polling held on Wednesday.

The polling for the remaining general sear sgall be held on April 17.
