Raje did not achieve anything in one year: Pilot

Not amused with the elaborate plans being organised to celebrate one year of Vasundhara Raje government over the weekend, Congress accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of having failed the people.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, where a ‘black paper' was released to highlight the mis-governance of the Vasundhara government, Congress president Sachin Pilot said the celebrations would have been meaningful had the government done anything worthwhile for the people in this past one year.

“The past year has been marked with corruption, unemployment, price rise and an increase in crimes against women. The BJP had come to power on the basis of the promises it made to the people but has not been able to fulfil even one promise,” he said.

Mr. Pilot said the government’s policy of integrating 17,000 schools had resulted in thousands of children being out of school.

Also, “shortage of urea has left farmers in a lurch. One the one hand the BJP had promised employment to15 lakh youth, on the other hand it is retrenching employees instead of confirming their employment,” he added.
