MLA woos panchayats with Rs. 1-crore offer

Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Deependra Singh Shekhawat, addressing a public meeting in his Srimadhopur constituency, has said panchayats which get him 80 per cent votes “will receive Rs. 1 crore from me for development works.” He also promised Rs. 50 lakh for booths that record cent per cent vote in his favour. The Congress MLA was inaugurating a community health centre at Mehrauli village. Later, he said he had promised voters money in the form of assistance from the MLA Local Area Development Fund.
