Alleging that Hindi news channels were “distorting” his statements, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday said they should not air news without understanding issues.
Speaking at a party meeting in Mumbai on Sunday, Mr. Thackeray said “I want to tell the Hindi news channel to first understand the issue before it is broadcast... otherwise we know how to stop it.”
His reaction comes after some Hindi news channels and leaders of JD(U), RJD and BJP from Bihar attacked him for his remarks on Friday that he would brand Biharis as infiltrators and make them leave Maharashtra.
“Why do all criminals flee to states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand after committing crime here?” he asked and commented that governments from these states should introspect over it.
“Even Centre should think over the issue,” he said.
He also ridiculed Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh’s claim that the Thackerays had migrated from Bihar to Maharashtra.
He demanded that the Maharashtra government and police should make registration compulsory for migrants entering the State.
As many as 48 trains from Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh come to the state daily, he said, adding, “Who knows how many people enter the state daily? There is no track record of their activities.”
He also pressed for the resignation of State Home Minister R.R. Patil.
“Mumbai Police Commissioner has received a letter from Bihar DG but Patil says he has no knowledge of it. This is the reason I am demanding his resignation. Patil does not understand the home department,” he said.

go wherever in India they want to go. Maharashtra is a big state,
located in the center of India, 48 trains are not enough - number of
trains to and through Maharashtra should at least be doubled. I also
propose that state of Maharashtra be divided into two states. Anybody

These Thackerays play on the sentiments of local Maharashtrians with no
regard of what India is as a Nation. This Raj needs to understand that
there are also Maharashtrians in other states who may be subject to the
same kind of fear and terror he imposes on Biharis in Mumbai. He wants
tracking on the activities of all the people who get off inter-state
trains in Mumbai? What kind of joker is this? And the sad part is that

Mr. Raj Thackeray's claims are unconstitutional. It appears that people who are ill-educated and get elected are
made Home Ministers as part of coalition politics. They should
be sacked and the Party to which they belong asked to field
educated candidates. A premier state like Maharashtra which
had a good police system and an efficient Home Minister has
fallen dreadfully. Coalition politics driven by a lust for power has
damaged the Government in Maharashtra.

Raj thackeray is scamp adopted child of congress. Congress wants that
raj Thackeray speak to please Marathi vote bank so it will divide
votes of shiv sena. As most of all knows, most Muslim & Hindi speaking
people give vote to congress & most Marathi people giving votes to
shiv sena in Maharashtra. Congress appointed raj thackery for special
job to get maximum vote of Marathi manoos. It is old British "DIVIDE &
RULE" strategy. If you remember Mayawati take action against Varun
Gandhi in Pilibhith, U.P. If she can take action in UP, why can’t
