Rains continue to lash Mumbai

Heavy rains continued to lash the city and adjoining suburbs for the third consecutive day on Monday.

However, there was no disruption of rail and road traffic in the morning rush hours.

The city and suburbs recorded 73.3 mm and 76.2 mm of rainfall respectively till 8.30 am, weather bureau said.

The showers subsided as the day progressed with 5.8 mm of rain in the city and 6.2 mm in the suburbs recorded from 8.30 am till 11.30 am.

More spells of thundershowers and rain with possibility of heavy rains in some areas is expected tomorrow.

The maximum temperature will be at 27 degree celsius and minimum temperature at 23 degree celsius, the weather bureau said.
