Rahul to visit Puducherry today

All India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit Puducherry on Friday. After arriving at the airport around 4.45 pm, he will proceed to Pondicherry University for inaugurating the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium on the campus.

Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh, Union Minister of State for Planning, Parliamentary Affairs and Culture V. Narayanasamy, Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam, Public Works Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) P. Kannan and vice-chancellor J. A. K Tareen will attend the function.

Mr. Gandhi will then interact with the students of the university. It will be a closed door session.

Mr. Gandhi will wind up the day’s programme after meeting Youth Congress workers at Hotel Ashok in Kalapet.
