Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka on Friday visited Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojna headquarters in Jias here and reviewed works undertaken by women self help groups.
Mr. Rahul and Ms. Priyanka, who arrived this morning, will also visit Khalidpur village in Jais town where they will interact with people at an adult education centre, party sources said here.
Later, the two will review various centrally sponsored schemes, including scholarship scheme, mid-day meal in Jias, they said.
Party sources said that they will also visit Mangerua village in Gauriganj later in the day.
Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made for the brother-sister duo by the state police.
