Rahul Gandhi cancels his Lalganj public meeting

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Lalganj which was scheduled to be held today has been cancelled.

Langanj falls in party president Sonia Gandhi’s Raebareli constituency and Rahul was scheduled to address a public meeting at Baiswara inter college this evening.

Sonia’s representative K L Sharma confirmed that Rahul’s meeting has been cancelled. However, the reason behind the cancellation is not known yet.

The Gandhi family — Sonia, Rahul, and Priyanka — are extensively campaigning in Rae Bareli and Amethi.

Raebareli goes to polls on April 30 while voting in Amethi would be held on May 7.
