Puducherry Chief Minister sustains injury

Puducherry Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam sustained an injury on the right femur after he slipped at his residence on Wednesday evening. He was immediately rushed to Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital and Research Institute here.

In a medical bulletin, Director of Health and Family Welfare Service Dilip Kumar Baliga stated: “His general condition and vital signs are absolutely normal and stable.” Mr. Vaithilingam will be shifted to a private hospital in Chennai for further examination and treatment on Thursday morning. A team of doctors would accompany the Chief Minister, sources in the government told The Hindu .

His Cabinet colleagues, MLAs , senior officials and leaders political parties visited the Chief Minister at the hospital.
