“There were already five-six persons in the auto-rickshaw, but three of them got down after travelling some distance. Now only the auto-rickshaw driver and two more persons were left. After travelling some distance the driver lowered the curtains of the auto-rickshaw and the duo sitting beside me force-fed me some drug. When I regained consciousness, I found myself at an isolated place and my clothes were not in order. I felt severe pain as well,” said the woman, in her complaint.

She then informed her husband with the help of passers-by and he took her home. Her husband took her to a hospital on May 23 after the bleeding did not stop. She was then referred to a hospital in Islampur. The hospital authorities also informed the police and a case was registered on Friday.
