Polls to the 36 seats of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council will be held on Januray 7, according to an order of Election Commission.
Notification for the election will be issued on Dceember 14, whereas polling for the 36 seats, which will fall vacant on January 15, will be held on January 7, they said.
The last date for the filing of nomination will be December 21, where December 24 will be the last date for withdrawl of papers and the process will be completed by January 12, they said.
