A complaint was filed on Friday in the city police station against the makers of the film ‘Haider’ and members of the Central Board of Film Certification by retired Captain Dattaram Sawant and others demanding that an FIR be filed against them immediately.

The complaint has named the writer, director, producer, actors, and financer of the movie and also the members of the Censor Board accusing them all of “hurting the nationalist sentiments and creating enmity among communities."

The complaint demands unearthing of the “conspiracy by which such a movie was scripted by Basharat Peer, a Kashmiri Muslim, and directed, financed, produced, distributed and shown in the whole of India by Vishal Bhardwaj.”

It claimed that the movie was “against national integration, security and promotes separatist tenets and terrorism.”

The complainants also demanded that this movie not be shown in the theatres in the city so that the said enmity will not grow in the area.

Already, Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Hindu rightwing outfits have protested against the film.
