PoK officials hand over drowned man’s body

Authorities in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) returned the body of a person who drowned in Kishanganga river in Karnah sector of Kupwara district, hours after the Indian Army brought the issue to their notice, a defence spokesman said. Farooq Illiyas, a resident of Tithwal near the Line of Control (LoC) in Karnah sector, died in a road accident on Tuesday evening. His body fell into the Kishanganga river and it was washed away by the current to the PoK, the spokesman said.
